Canterbury Off Road Racing Club’s Wade Densem Memorial Race Meeting Returns on December 1st

Wade Densem Memorial 2024 will again be held by the Canterbury Off Road Racing Club (CORC) for 2024. Established in 1998, this memorial race holds special significance, commemorating the life of Wade Densem, a figure of the off-road racing community. This year, on December 1st, the racing will once again bear witness to a day that pays tribute to a person whose passion for off-road racing even at a young age of 12 left a mark on the club.

The Wade Densem Memorial 2024 meeting is more than just a race; it is a celebration of the off-road spirit that Wade embodied. For over two decades, this annual event has brought together racers, families, and enthusiasts to honor Wade’s memory and showcase the camaraderie that defines the CORC community. This year the race will be held on Carneys Road in Methven as two separate enduros, length to be confirmed.

As the engines roar to life on December 1st, participants will navigate the track, facing challenges and obstacles. Spectators are also part of a collective tribute to Wades young passion for off-road racing. The atmosphere is one of camaraderie, as families, friends, and racing enthusiasts come together. The Wade Densem Memorial 2024 Meeting is also a testament to CORC’s commitment to preserving the memory of those in the off-road racing community.

As the sun sets on December 1st, the Wade Densem Memorial Race Meeting will conclude, leaving behind a trail of dust and memories that echo the enduring spirit of off-road racing. It’s a day that honors a legacy, embraces a shared passion, and reinforces the sense of community that makes CORC more than just a racing club. On this occasion, participants and spectators alike are invited to be part of a tradition that celebrates the essence of off-road racing and the community we are a part of.

We always need volunteers and Wade himself was a keen volunteer. If you can help out on the day, please do contact one of the committee members if you are available here.
