CORC Southern Series Round 1 – Twilight Short Course – Saturday 10th March 2018

THE 1st ROUND OF THE SOUTHERN SERIES
A TWILIGHT SHORT COURSE RACING EVENT
SATURDAY 10TH MARCH 2018
WEEDONS ROSS ROAD, WEST MELTON
3pm -5pm – Scruntineering and brake tests will be held at the club track where drivers and passengers are to sign in, complete all paperwork, have race gear checked and arm bands issued.
Scrutineering will be as per the ORANZ rulebook.
Arm restraints or window nets are strongly recommended. As this is a twilight race, lights are also recommended.
PLEASE NOTE ALL CARS MUST HAVE A 2017/18 ORANZ TAG – NO TAG NO RACE
5.30pm – Drivers Briefing. All drivers must attend.
6.00pm – Racing starts ……
The short course will consist of 3 heats x 5 laps for each class, plus an extended fourth heat for each class to be decided on the evening based on car numbers. Please note that this will require us to stage heats very quickly and will allow us little leeway in regards to getting cars on the grid – so be ready!
There will be no prize giving at the end of this round as your points for this race accumulate towards your overall place at the end of the series where trophies will be awarded. Certificates will be issued to you after the event.
There will be food and hot drinks available for purchase.
There is no cut off date for entries however entries received after 7th March will start off at the back of the grid. Entry fee for Trophy Karts – $40.00.
Your entry fee includes four free entry passes (arm bands). All personnel, including drivers require entry passes which will be issued at scrutineering. Extra arm bands for your crew can be purchased at scrutineering for $10. For spectator safety the pit gate will be closed for public entry therefore all pit crew must be in the gate by 5pm. The arm bands must be worn and shown for entry to and from the pits. No arm band, no entry.
Tickets for spectators can be purchased at the gate for $10 per entry, under 15yr free. (Cash only). Gates open to spectators at 5pm.
THERE WILL BE NO DOGS ALLOWED IN PITS OR PUBLIC VIEWING AREA FOR THE DURATION OF THIS EVENT
